Free Adidas comp. with Bad Brains, Blackpool Lights, Meg & dia, OK Go

Adidas has produced a new football/soccer-themed compilation featuring songs written for all thirteen Major League Soccer teams. The free compilation can be streamed or downloaded in MP3 format and includes songs from the Bad Brains (Washington DC), Blackpool Lights (Kansas City), Meg & Dia (Salt Lake City), and others. No songs from Korn though, I guess they were never forgiven for this song.

The Bad Brains song is horrible. I love how in their bio it says the Smashing Pumpkins claim the Bad Brains as an influence. Yeah right, Pay to Cum and that "world is a vampire song" sound EXACTLY alike. I can hear the hardcore influence......

I mean, that incident with Big Boys happened many years ago, and they were provoked at that. The Big Boys knew of their beliefs, so they should've expected that kind of reaction from Bad Brains. It's like playing with a ratllesnake, and taking offense that it bit you. And do you think that if that hapened to Minor Threat or Black Flag we'd even be having this conversation? No. So there is a bit of racism involved, and everybody who leaves a comment about Bad Brains being "homophobes" is apart of it.

Like I said, if this were another hardcore band from their era, it would not have been made into such a big deal. I'm sure many punk and hardcore bands used the word "fag" or whatever back in the day, and probably didn't care very much for homosexuals. But because of who Bad Brains are, it was blown out of proportion, and used by many ignorant people as an exuse to hate Bad Brains. Yeah, I think homophobia is wrong, but I also think that singling out one band for something that happened ages ago wrong as well. And you totally contradict yourself with that last question.
