Atreyu has posted the first complete song from their upcoming full length. The record is titled Lead Sails Paper Anchor and is due out August 28, 2007.

suicide notes was a well done "emo" (i hate using that word, especially in context to these guys. forgive me, rites of spring) metalcore release, despite having mostly cringe-worthy lyrics.

All that went out the window on every release since. The drummer started singing more and the songs took that typical watered down "ok, you SCREAM this verse, I'll SING this chorus" formula. The shitty lyrics they always had stood out like sore thumb because of this, and the music wasn't even tolerable. This isn't progression. This band sounds like they're gearing up to be MTV's next nu-metal radio darlings. I seriously thought that becoming the bull song was a papa roach song when I heard this.

on a side note, sometimes when i hear some random shitty song by some random shitty band, it makes me even sadder that NMB broke up. oh well, time to listen to some "Genuine Malaise..."

i really do keep meaning to go over there but i've been kinda busy lately. plus i have no real home for the time being, i'm between the Bronx, LI and Westchester in 3 different apts my friends have.

but regardless, some cool people on there but they always try to hit on Lauren who posts here sometimes as whatever (me and you had an anal sex convo with her once years ago). she's so totally my e-woman though, they all need to step off before i get so mad i throw my Entourage DVDs at them.

i'll try to get on there this week, keep an eye out.

See I've met kids from the Org in the "meat world" but it's all been because we were at the same show or something. I've never been like, "Dude, we should all totally hang out and meet up sometime".
Going out of your way to meet kids you've talked to online is a little strange...but then again most of my friends are kids I've known since elementary school, so take that for whatever.

uh, do people really think this bands sound has changed? or is it just something they tell themselves to pretend like they didnt at one point like shitty music

the only thing that atreyu has changed is their production and maybe the lyrics have gotten better, but i never pay attention to lyrics anyway
