Sex Positions back together

Boston's Sex Positions have returned after a few years of dormancy. The band is now back together with original vocalist Rich Perusi, John Blanchard trading his drums for a guitar and Mark DeGuilio back on bass. The band now has Sean Owen of DrawBlood also playing guitar and friend David Kocses on drums. The band's first show back will be on November 24th in Nashua, NH. More info is expected soon.

The band last released the self-titled Sex Positions in 2004 via Deathwish.

this is actually starts to make up for the 100 bands that broke up this past year...and also for 100 shitty ones who formed and are now 'taking the music world by storm.'

That S.Pos fullength is a very smart hardcore album. I could never figure out how they weren't more popular. I almost want to put that album up there with Shape of Punk to Come...I'd like to see what Sex Pos do next.

i wouldn't place it up there with The Shape of....

but this was a great album. i definitely saw a lot of similarities to Shape, with the off-kilter dancey beats.

good to hear some slightly different noise in the hardcore game, like sexpos.

I just popped in that the s/t record a few days a ago thinking about how damn well it still held up.

I saw them at the end with the guy form xfilesx playing guitar and that was great, the new lineup sounds amazing though.

Beyond stoked.
