Media: Over It: “Anyday”

Over It have posted a song from their upcoming album, The Strand, a new compilation of b-sides and acoustic tracks.Te disc will not be released through the band's (previous) label, Virgin, who released Step Outside Yourself last year.

According to the band, the disc will be released through the band's online merch store and through digital distributors. The SnoCap embedded music store on their myspace page appears to contain the entire collection and the whole set is available for $10.41.

I will continue to support this band pretty much without question since "Timing Is Everything" was such a classic album, front-to-back. Don't get me wrong, I'm also a fan of "Silverstrand" and "Step Outside Yourself", but legend status was achieved with "Timing Is Everything". From the muscianship, to the songwriting, to the vocal talent, to the production, that album was as close to perfection as any fast-paced melodic punk band will probably get.

I'm shocked that it took a B-side record to get this song out. I remember the original demo's I heard of this song.. it was the best batch of that recording session I thought.

Oh well. If only they'd revert to hoodie rock.
