NOFX, No Use for a Name, Flatliners/American Steel plan tour for 2008

Many people have been wondering when NOFX would do a club tour of North America, after years of seeing them on Warped and in big venues so we got in touch with Fat Wreck Chords to find out. We're pleased to report that beginning in February, the band will be headlining an as-yet unnamed club tour which will feature No Use for a Name and support from American Steel and The Flatliners.

Expect two weeks of dates in February and an additional two weeks in March and/or April.

Fuck Norfolk. They were at the Norva a couple years back. Come to Richmond instead.

If this misses either Toronto or Ottawa..... well i'm just not sure what i'm going to do. NoFx ACTUALLY played a club show in toronto in like 05, but exams prevented me from attending.

they played 2 days in a row in '05 at the kool haus.. they played a MUCH better set in '02 when that place was like half it's current size. definitely one of the best shows i've ever been to.

i saw at the show in 2002.. that was the show that totally turned me off from nofx. it was one of the worse sets that i've ever seen..

hate to say it but you will look back and realize that it wasnt the exams that prevented you, it was not knowing the shit well enough throughout the semester to take a night off! haha

You have a waaay better chance of getting them in Toronto then we do in Calgary. But they'll say 'US and Canadian tour' but only hit toronto and montreal or soemthing.

NOFX played a great small club show in Auckland a few years back, by a few my old self mean 10 :)

NUFAN played a great club show here 3 years back

As for Flatliners and AS no luck down here yet but there is still hope

I can't believe i missed them in NYC because I didn't have anyone to go with... and they played The Decline, I should have sucked it up and went. I won't get lucky again probably.

Am I weird for thinking that NUFAN is the weakest band on this tour?

ps. this better NOT go like so many of the other US tours that've gone on in the past year and SKIP THE NORTHWEST.

NUFAN rocks man..definetely NOT the weakest band on this tour at all..having not seen american steel play, and from seeing nofx play..id say its a toss-up between those 2..and flatliners kick ass!

social d comes to Utah.. we must be considered part of California.. so I assume that NOFX will come here as well.. (the closest I think I seen them come was on the NOFX/Rancid tour where they came to Vegas.. that was the closest outside of warped that I've seen them tour..)

but this is what I wanted to say.. They leave COUNTRY lines occasionally.

by club tour i hope it's a bigger club cause it will be impossible to get tix... they sold out the house of blues last year and it was filled with asshats... i wouldn't wanna imagine a small club with this tour

NICE. The only band I've seen live (besides Warped Tour) is American Steel. I missed the NOFX show a few years ago becaus I was 4 hours away in college and didn't have a car. My aging ass will be sure to make it to the show this time.

I'm sure its been said.. so this is going to be 3 months of california dates.. because I am sure that there will be no SLC date.. god forbid something cool comes to utah.. (cept for Flogging Molly next month there really hasn't been much)

Just a thought that crossed into my mind when skimming some of these responses... do people think that who ever's booking this tour logs on to punknews.org to see where they should be setting up shows?

Yes, most likely anyone who clicked the read more for this story would like they to play in their home town or close at least..

since I'm probably going to get flamed already for this post I might as well add. Quit saying I hope they come to Toronto, or I hope they play Toronto...

If a major band is doing a tour, and you live in a major Canadian city, they're most likely going to have a date there..
