Converge and Neurosis to play two nights in Seattle

Converge and Neurosis are playing at Neumo's in Seattle on Feb. 16 and 17. The bands are clear that this isn't a tour but rather a two night engagement. The first show is 21+, the second all-ages. The supporting acts will be chosen by each band. Each band will choose one supporting act.

Perhaps this is what Old Man Gloom was talking about when they said "Old Man Gloom fans rejoice for rapture will soon be upon you." Just imagine... Seriously, I know that Neurosis and Converge will both pick amazing openers.

Hahahahaha, really, it's true. I saw a picture of the singer from the Used wearing a Converge shirt. I think their Jane Doe shirt will eventually be as hip as wearing the Misfits fiend skull shirt.

Neurosis was god damned amazing in Chicago last month. Even casual fans of the genre should definitely check this out, especially considering how rarely Neurosis seems to play out.

i still think their word as law Lp on lookout was incredible. i had it on vinyl and cd but both disappeared years ago. saw them live in philadelphia in 1989 playing after Nausea. when nausea finish pretty much everyone left. they had the bass player from crimpshrine with them i believe.

I envy you, my friend. Whatever happened to Crimpshrine's bassist, anyway? That fucker could truly shred.

I agree about that LP, though I prefer their middle-period stuff when the progressive and ambient elements started to become more pronounced. Through Silver in Blood is one of the albums that really turned me on to "hardcore" and its diverse sub-genres.
