Veteran melodic metal act In Flames have wrapped up work on their next album. The band has titled the record A Sense Of Purpose and it is expected out in April 2008.

The band adds:

We are extremely happy with the end result and so proud of what we have achieved with the new album and can't wait for you all to hear it.

The record is expected via Nuclear Blast in Europe but a North American label has not yet been announced. The band's previous album, Come Clarity, was issued via Ferret.
