What's the deal with Canada and tall people? For some reason every time we try to play a show there, they say Chris Flippin can't go because he's too large. Take it from me, I am very small and far angrier than Flippin on his worst day. Maybe Chris Flippin has Marfan Syndrome or a wacky pituitary gland. Perhaps whatever it is that made him a freak of nature is not his fault. Regardless, I think it is a shame Canada takes issue with such a thing as abnormal height. It just doesn't seem fair. Sure, he's a giant and a felon but that doesn't mean he isn't a extremely nice guy.The show will go on without them.
In all honesty, Lag Wagon apologize to anyone in Toronto or its surrounding areas who had planned on coming to see us Saturday night. We are really bummed. I promise we will be there by sometime next summer to make up for it.

Joey Cape from Lagwagon has reported that the band will not be able to make their planned free Toronto show with Strung Out. It looks like border issues were the cause of the cancellation, with the band unable to enter Canada, Joey joked:

Anyone else think it's funny there are ads for American Apparel dresses on this sausagefest of a site? 4+ Replies

He mentions Chris is a "giant and a felon," so maybe that's why they couldn't get in. Anyone know if he's been convicted before?

as much as I love everything joey cape is involved in, I wouldn´t mind a new Lag Wagon (looks weird with a space) record.

What now I am getting pissed off at the country I live in. That guy is the nicest guy I have ever met and canada should be more understanding then even America is. 2+ Replies

Ha, they would have been the only reason that I would check out the free show (which it turned out I would be unable to attend) , and now i'll (hopefully) get to see them over the summer. Its a good day today
