Vancouver's The Black Halos have recruited bassist Jahmeel "J.R." Russell, formerly of G7 act Malefaction, as well as Swallowing Shit, Kittens, Projektor, Mico, and KEN mode.
The band released Alive Without Control in 2005.

The Violent Years had about 4 awesome songs (No Tommorrow Girls, Somethings Never Fall, Last of the 1%'ers, Lost in the 90's) and a bunch of filler that just didn't make an impression on me either way. Alive without Control had no stand-out songs for me but just a bunch of solid/good songs for the most part.

by PaC on 2008-01-18 13:44:57 I didn't know that Jahmeel had been in Mico or Malefaction... This one time, I saw Fifth Hour Hero play with Malefaction. Worse mismatch line up ever, well there was the Darkest Hour, Discount and Braid show too. I enjoyed FHH and Malefaction, but still kind of strange.
