Washington, DC's Bad Brains has been chosen by MTV to be a part of the television channel's 52/52 campaign. Starting February 4th, the channel will be airing over 1500 spots, nearly 11 hours, of interviews, videos, songs and behind the scenes footage of the band between shows and during commercials. Each band selected is given a week's worth of coverage. Previous bands featured include Against Me!, Tegan And Sara, and Paramore.
The band released Build a Nation, their first studio album in a over decade in 2007. It was produced by Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys). Megaforce Records (53 comments)

This actually makes me want to watch MTV. I hate that channel, but Bad Brains have to be one of the best bands from the 80s. They are totally original, hardcore/reggae/punk. No one can do it like they do. 2+ Replies

It will be primarily 8 hours of the band condemning gays and then 3 hours of them saying they're not homophobic. Sprinkled lightly with tirades against the internet and punk kids today. 9+ Replies

I was watching Real World/Road Rules Challenge last night when this came up. Confusion is a bitch.

When I saw that on TV, my head nearly exploded. It also reminded me of how different the music sounds with the new vocal style.

HR is crazy, too much acid probably. That may be me in 10-20 years. Drugs suck, but goddamn they are fun.

so do you just have to watch MTV throughout the whole day to catch pieces of this or is it going to be actual shows so that I don't have to attempt to sit through horrible MTV programming?

i'm 24 and after a shitty breakup went from 180 to 166 pounds. i've stopped losing weight but i am still a little flabby. how can i harden up my mid section. crunches seem to be working only real slow and really it's not that much. i drink a lot of beer. is my only option to quit all the booze. i do lots of running. 4 miles 5 times a week. any suggestions on how to stop this plateau i've hit and get a little more hard/lean? 4+ Replies

incredibly moot point, but has the drawing of the fist in the megaforce logo ever bothered anyone else? it just looks so awkward and they could have easily gotten someone to draw a better one. 2+ Replies
