Whole Wheat Bread have posted two songs from their as yet untitled follow-up to 2006's Punk Life. 'Ode 2 Father' and 'Stuck in Da Dark' can be streamed on the band's MySpace page.
The new album will be the first to feature the band's new bassist, Will Frazier and is due to drop this summer. It was produced by Travis Huff (Armor For Sleep, Yellowcard, Pharcyde) and features contributions from Mike McColgan of Street Dogs and rappers Lil Jon and Murs. Fighting Records (31 comments)

"Ode 2 Father" sounds alright. The other one sounds like I'm shaking my hand at chest-level, and then it just turns into a "thumbs down", and I make a fart noise. 1+ Reply

i've never been a big fan of his vocals, but yea Ode 2 Father is definitely a solid song. i wish these guys would play faster though dammit

"Stuck In Da Dark" is probably the worst song title i have heard in a while...worse than the panic at the disco shit from an earlier article. 3+ Replies

These songs are much better than Punk Life. They seem a little bit darker than Minority Rules, which is too bad, but I guess they've had some hard times since then so it makes sense. 2+ Replies

So, if you can get past the ridiculous song titles, these songs are some of the catchiest stuff I’ve heard in a while. I’ll be picking up this new album whenever it comes out.

It saddens me that the only time I've seen MURS or the Pharcyde mentioned on this website is in relation to whole wheat bread, I'm aware that this is punknews, but I'd much rather read about MURS than WWB. Yeah, I live in Jacksonville, I should love these guys, sorry.

I saw these guys open for the Street Dogs in Philly a little while back and they put on an incredibly energetic live show. They play their asses off and go crazy while still keeping everything tight. And you can't ask for much more than that. | Features
