The River City Rebels have finished recording their sixth full length, due out this summer on Springman Records imprint Silver Sprocket. The album is currently untitled. A 70 page booklet of journals written by organ player Brandon Rainer will accompany the release.
Two tracks from the full length, "Little Bit Longer" and "Hey Sweet Thing" are now streaming online at the band's MySpace page. The group has also shuffled their lineup in recent weeks. Following the completion of the record bassist Tascar Wise and drummer Kevin both quit the band. The group is looking for replacements but in the meantime giutarist Chris Macie is covering drums and vocalist Dan O'Day's brother Josh is playing bass. Dan now both singing and playing guitar. Keepsake of Luck was the most underrated album of 07...but the sound quality of these new songs are terrible.
DeadMilkMan (March 16, 2008)
These new songs aren't very good. They're dragging Keepsake's welcome out for a bit too long.

i liked this band alright until i saw them live. not because of their musical performance, but because of the way they conducted themselves.

Keepsake of luck was so good. I'm really excited that they have a new album out so soon. The new songs sound good.

This band's first record was great, and the 2nd was INCREDIBLE, but I just can't get into anything after that.
DiscoFucker (March 16, 2008)
The record is titled "Mom and Dad's Family Album." I am pretty excited for it, sounds like its gonna be a stripped down version of the Keepsake sound. Street punk band that just turned into a solid rock n roll outfit.

70 pages of journal entries? Really? I mean, that's worth the printing costs?

good to hear some RCR news. one of the most looked over bands out there. Hate to be Loved and Keepsake of Luck are brilliant rock and roll gems.
