Art of the Underground releasing a new boxset

Art of the Underground has announced plans to release a strictly limited 7-inch box set featuring Young Offenders, Potboiler, The Unlovables, Modern Machines, Giant Haystacks, North Lincoln, Andrew Jackson Jihad, The Potential Johns, The Leftovers, Gordon Gano's Army, Exit Strategy and Ghost Mice.

The set essentially compiles the third year of the AOTU single series with each of the twelve 7-inches featuring two exclusive songs from each band. You can take a look or place an order here.

Really tempted to buy this (some great names on this years list) but I might have to pass. It's just a lot of dough to front. Still when the series sells for $300 on ebay I'll be bummed.

generally 7" records of bands no one has ever heard of dont fetch $300, or even $30 for that matter.

I ended up spending $107 (with shipping included) on ebay for the Art of the Underground Year 2 boxset, and that was only half the amount of records with the original price being $22. I'm definitely ordering this right now.

Anybody know who is lined up for this upcoming year?

ps. I might have a problem...

This is a steal. This fact is especially apparent to anyone that has ever pressed a record and knows how freaking much they cost to make, especially in low amounts. If it looks good to you, you're a fool if you don't leap at it ASAP. You'll be sorry otherwise! Ha!

Just picked up the Chinese Telephones/Potential Johns LP along with a bunch of other cool shit. Extreme Noise in Minneapolis is fucking awesome.
