China's Brain Failure have posted their new single which features Chuck D of the legendary Public Enemy. The track comes from their upcoming album, titled A Box On the Broken Ball which is due out April 30, 2008.

as a conflicted leftist chinese-american, i say ZING! for the actual joke, but i'm getting a little uncomfortable with the whole "hey, let's fuck with the chinese as a whole" deal because of the beijing olympics. agreed that china's human rights record and socio-political oppression is deplorable, but man.....most of the people over there aren't a borg-like nation of COMMUNIST ZOMBIE UBERMENSCH, they're just (for the most part) normal working-class people trying get by, albeit unwittingly conceding to hegemony. the political and social structures might be different, but it's just fucking poor people trying to eke out a living in an ever-increasingly westernized economy that's blowing the fuck up beyond most of their comprehension right now.

can you really say that our situation in the US is any better, with government surveillance being performed on US citizens, talks of RFID chips being stamped into our passports and drivers licenses, all this without us putting up much of a fuss, all for the illusion of national security?

TLDR, lol @ your comment but :( @ being unfairly generalized.

Oh, I was just making a crack about the Chinese government and their inclination towards supression. It's nothing to do with the averge Joe or Jao. I also fully accept worldwide criticism of my government, because I feel on a national level that it no longer represents me or my interests, or most anyone else's.

I'd be totally down for a "Rage Against the Machine to host daily concerts at Gitmo" crack.

also, another important point is criticizing china's policies, which do warrant a lot of criticism, without having it descend into some bullshit xenophobic rant about how the chinese are the big bad red menace or some shit. my dad had to deal with that shit going to school in the US in the 70's, and starting out working up from the bottom in the restaurants.

Love the song, except the verse "welcome to our home, our home away from home". That part absolutely does me head in. Reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer says "oh by the way, rhyming Homer with homer?! Muah!" at the bowling alley. The collaboration with Chuck D works great.
