We've received more updates from Matt Canino, the voice and bass guitar behind Shorebirds and formerly of Latterman. The band, which also features Jawbreaker alum Chris Bauermeister, is "almost done" with their LP, titled It's Gonna Get Ugly. The record will feature 12 songs and is being recorded by former Latterman bandmate Phil Douglas (Cheeky, Slingshot Dakota, Up The Fury). Expect a summer release on Rumbletowne.

Matt also let us know about the two releases that are scheduled: "as soon as rumbletowne [sic] gets their shit together, the split and the comp will be ready. I'm talking like a week here." An August tour is tentatively expected and we'll get you tourdates when we hear about them.

Shorebirds released their Self Titled 7" last year.
