We Versus the Shark have struck again! The latest in their series of cover songs have been posted; this time they turn in a rendition The Matt Kurz One's "Mow You Down Then Put You On a Pedestal." You can find it at Quote Unquote's website.

Their new album full of cover songs it titled Murmurmur and they've posted covers of Scratch Acid, Tom Waits, Television and Pattern is Movement so far. Murmurmur is being released for free one track at a time on the first of every month of 2008.

bear vs shark come back to us

this news seems goofy. some band is covering a song! that happens every day in hundreds of kids' basements. i learned to play the ongoing horrible today. why isn't anyone reporting this?!?

Sorry but We Versus the Shark is a lot better than "some band."

They got a concept behind this considering that its a track of a full album at the start of each month covering artists that we all REALLY should be listening to. Plus this is the fucking Matt Kurz One (COME TO CALIFORNIA WITH O PIONEERS!!) which is a shit ton more in value than a kiss-my-ass acoustic Maps & Atlases song or Beat It with special guest John Mayer.

Bear Vs Shark does need to come back though.
