Hot Water Music to play Philadelphia, New York City

Gainesville, FL natives and Punknews reader favorites Hot Water Music will be playing The Troc in Philadelphia on Friday, July 11th, and then head to New York City for a July 12th show at Terminal 5

Tickets for the New York tickets are now available here. Philly residents can find their tickets here (ticket sale begin this weekend).

The group's last full-length was 2004's The New What Next, while their retrospective, Till The Wheels Fall Off, released this year, compiled many covers, outtakes, B-sides, and other assorted rarities.

Alkaline Trio is the same night in NYC, and you'd have to be nuts not to pick HWM. If it was pre-2003 Alk3, it'd be a bit more tricky.

I love this band, but can totally understand your opinion if that's the only album you've heard. "Fuel..." didn't really click with me until I heard some of their other albums.

Listen to "Caution" (their most accessible), then "No Division" (their best, imo). If you still don't like 'em, then I don't know what else to say.

Pittsburgh is a secondary market; if the band are only going to play two shows it makes no sense for them to play there. In other news, you guys probably pay half as much in rent as you would if you lived in a primary market so at least be thankful for that...

Are they officially back as a band full time or are they just playing the odd shows here and there for whatever reason?

Quick mention for Chuck Ragan's Feat or Famine album, I bought it last week and it's pretty decent... but I'm sure you all knew that already.
