Ashers (The Unseen) release new EP

Ashers, the new project from Mark of The Unseen and Billy and Joe of Deadly Sins, have released their debut EP, Cold Dark Place on Welfare Records. The band claims influence from the likes of Motorhead, Black Flag and Zeke.

You can check out three songs from the EP on their myspace page. A full length and tour are expected in the Fall.

I have kind of mixed feelings about it. It's pretty good, but there's something a little off about it. The more I listen to it, the more deliberate it sounds, especially when compared to the demos.

I think the problem might lie in the fact that I burned it to a CD with the new Steinways album, and the new Steinways is so shit-your-pants good that Lagrecia sounds too Serious Business Hard Rawk in comparison.

It's one I'm going to ponder for a while before making any kind of final judgement call.

It actually doesn't sound a lot like the Unseen, plus, Mark's writing with new people, that's why it's not the Unseen.
