In a recent interview, Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel confirmed that he would be joining The Revival Tour set to take place this fall and include Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Tim Barry of Avail and Ben Nicols of Lucero.
As previously reported, while the tour will feature individual sets from each artist, it will be more reminiscent of the folk tradition of involving multiple artist collaborations-and each performer will have guests coming on and off stage, including the solo artists who will each contribute to each other's respective sets. Dates are expected to be announced soon. News (179 comments)

They had a practice show in Sacramento a few days ago, it was fucking incredible one of the best shows I've ever seen. Also, I can't explain why they had it in Sacramento of all places, but am still stoked. 3+ Replies

when this becomes an against me, hot water music, avail, lucero tour, if it were under 20 i'd consider going. but to listen to all these guys play acoustically would just be boring. i just dont get excited about a guy and an acoustic guitar. it's fucking boring. 9+ Replies

I really, really don't know if this is a good or bad thing. Lint just said "'Stop' acoustic" and that makes me very scared. 3+ Replies

Does anyone at least know what area(s) of the country this tour is hitting?

There probably won't be a Michigan date for this tour, and that upsets me a bit. 2+ Replies

They did a one off song to try this out in Sacramento on Sunday (minus Tom Gabel) and the show was amazing. Can't wait to see it again. 1+ Reply

i'm willing to bet the male to female ratio is going to be extremely lopsided for this. stoked though, it should be an incredible show. hopefully it'll roll through detroit even though i have a feeling they might skip the markets that the chuck/ ben show hit last year 2+ Replies

After the show, they will share a tent and have tickle fights until one of them farts. They will soon exit the tent and head for the lake for some skinny dipping. They will missplace their clothes (on purpose). Remember when Ashlee Simpson did that little jig on SNL? What an idiot, gosh 1+ Reply

I hope it comes to St. Louis because, well, nothing comes to St. Louis. I don't blame touring acts, I wouldn't come here, but it pisses me off.
SloaneDaley (June 19, 2008)
Lucero packed the house here last time they came, Tim Barry had at least a small group of supporters, AM! do really well and Chuck should have the strong HWM following support him here. This cannot miss Toronto. 1+ Reply

hopefully if this comes to Connecticut it won't be all-ages so I won't even have to consider going.

The dates aren't out yet, but I can only assume there will be a Gainesville date. I'll be there with bells on (no pants, though).

I am looking forward to this tour so much that it almost makes me cry. I'm not sure how I feel about Mr. Gabel joining though. 1+ Reply
