Tom Gabel to join Chuck Ragan, Ben Nichols, Tim Barry "Revival" tour

In a recent interview, Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel confirmed that he would be joining The Revival Tour set to take place this fall and include Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music, Tim Barry of Avail and Ben Nicols of Lucero.

As previously reported, while the tour will feature individual sets from each artist, it will be more reminiscent of the folk tradition of involving multiple artist collaborations-and each performer will have guests coming on and off stage, including the solo artists who will each contribute to each other's respective sets.

Dates are expected to be announced soon.

also....THE CASE IS NOT CLOSED WITH CRUSH GIRL. hung out with her for like 5 minutes on monday night, met the roommates, they seem to approve of me. saw her room, hung out with her til her parents came to pick her up for dinner since they live across the river in cambridge. short visit, but i established a foothold and i've seen where the quarry sleeps.

next day she left work about 5 mins before i did, and i caught up to her but she was talking to some other dude in the street. i had my headphones on and gave her the "what's up smile up-nod" thing and kept walking since i didn't wanna inject myself into the convo. she caught up to me at the crosswalk and was like "oh god, i know that dude from school and he's weird, i didn't want to talk to him at all. i hope i don't run into him again." her telling me this, why?? hmmm....

They had a practice show in Sacramento a few days ago, it was fucking incredible one of the best shows I've ever seen. Also, I can't explain why they had it in Sacramento of all places, but am still stoked.

The starters have stepped it up pretty well of late. Rasner had a few rough innings this game, and the last game was pretty rough. As long as the bats stay hot I think the Yankees are in good shape.

honestly after watching the trailer, this movie looks........competently made. a little generic and the story's been done a billion times with the mighty ducks, bad news bears, etc etc etc etc., but it's by no means something i would've thought fred durst would've directed. it just looks like another generic "motivational" kids sports movie.

It just seemed a bit odd to see AM! on Leno. I didn't have a problem with them being on Conan, but Conan seems to have a lot more punk cred. I hate Leno and I can't imagine that all of the 55 year old investment bankers lying in bed, waiting for sleep thought too much of them either. Conan is like seeing them at a 500 person venue with cheap PBR while Leno is like seeing them at the local arena with $8 beers. Just not the same.

I am looking forward to this tour so much that it almost makes me cry. I'm not sure how I feel about Mr. Gabel joining though.

What does everything think the lineup will be, sans the whole everyone joining eachother on stage throughout the show thing?

My personal preference would be (Headliner listed first):

Tim Barry, Chuck Ragan, Ben Nichols, Tom Gabel

However I would consider Ragan/Barry to be interchangeable so it wouldn't bother me a tall, as long as it's one of them/all of them at once who end it. I've never heard any of Ben's solo stuff so I don't know but I doubt he'd be the ender. And if Gabel ends it, while being the most commercially accessible act at this point, I wouldn't expect him to on this tour but I would be dissappointed if he was based on the nature of the other acts.
