Known for their intense live shows, Avail has become a favorite of punk/hardcore/whatever kids across the globe. With a unique fusion of hardcore, post-hardcore and even a little country/western, they have made a name for themselves by constant touring and memorable records for over 15 years.
Based out of Richmond, VA; Avail focuses on the topics that impact them directly: home, friends and life. Though originally from DC, the band puts a large emphasis on their current home town (since 1990) with lyrics, song titles and even albums reflecting on life in Richmond, VA.
The band released their first 4 albums via Lookout! Records, before signing with Fat Wreck Chords in 1999, who have released the band's last 2 albums
