Bomb The Music Industry recalls "Album Minus Band" vinyl; fuels Ebay economy

Bomb The Music Industry has recalled their recently released vinyl version of Album Minus Band (no review?). Apparently the album does not play at the correct speed. You can contact flood[a]asbestosrecords.com for a replacement or horde it in your parents basement only to sell it on Ebay for some ridiculous price.

The band recently wrapped up a tour with Less Than Jake and reportedly are working on a new album.

I ordered it immediately the second the vinyl was announced. I had been stoked on their demo for about a year, and almost couldn't contain myself for the full length. I had no idea they would make any more than the 100 and I wanted in. I didn't think anyone was going to care as much as I did.

Was it the blue? It's not that uncommon if it's an early press or colored. Otherwise it's usually around 50... some morons might have gotten into a battle over it though.

The guy who was selling it didn't even know what he had. His description read that someone told him it was rare so he put it up. And yes it was blue. I was worried. I don't think I could ever drop $100 on a single record.

I've got that record, but I've had it since around the time Bivouac came out. Long before ebay ruined the shit out of stuff.

$100 bones is pretty steep, it's a pretty record, but it's not all THAT special.

It's gotten to the point that you never ever bid on anything, you just watch and squat on it until the last minute of the auction. Stupid.

When I sell stuff on there, I always think that it's going to be a dud of an auction until about an hour before it ends.

Does it play too fast or too slow?
My friend had a record player that played everything just a little bit too fast and it was awesome. But then it was always weird when you listened to the same album at normal speed.

wow I suppose I could have purchased that a year ago when they played macs bar and made some sort of killing in percent terms. And to think the singers wife was nice enough to give me a free button with a purchase of a tshirt. This is just god damn ridiculous.

whoa, that vinyl is selling for that price already?

i have a copy of that black one. never played on a record player (don't own one... bought the vinyl expecting to buy a record player, then realized it was inconvenient considering i move every 8 months or so as a student).

seems shady to profit off it like that though. maybe one day us punknewsers can have an ebay auction and donate everything to charity for those of us who have collector's items that we can part with.

What pressing is it?
I've got one...and i don't care about the band.. Why is it so desirable, i mean, i think they're still availibe on distros, or am i thinking of some other pressing?

If it's that pressing, i'm gonna go buy 5 right away.

Black is from the 1st pressing. If you really don't care about the band and would like to sell your black copy for a price that isn't ridiculous like eBay I may be able to take it off your hands. I'm collecting their stuff and that's the only one I don't have.
