Dead Milkmen Reunite to Play Fun Fun Fun Fest In Austin, TX

Philadelphia, PA's The Dead Milkmen will headline one of the day of this year's Fun Fun Fun Festival in Austin, TX, according to a message on the Dead Milkmen's message board from drummer Dean Clean:

The festival, which takes place on November 8th - 9th, will mark the second reunion since the passing of original bassist Dave Blood. Playing bass for the band for this show is Dandrew Stevens. The original message can be viewed here. The band released the retrospective Now We Are 20 in 2003.

Joe Jack is so much fun live. I saw him with like a dozen other people, and he was so loose and funny and responsive. Great show. Andrea hated it.

I haven't seen these guys since the Soul Rotation tour, as much as I would like to, I just can't imagine it without Dave Blood.

Still support them, just seems weird.

Aww. I saw them at the first Dave Blood Memorial Show, and it was amazing. You have to understand that, as much as I'd have to loved to have seen the original lineup, I got into them 7 or 8 years ago, when I was 16 or 17. Obviously, I wasn't catching them on tour in '95 or before. It was a really cool thing they did for Dave and an awesome performance.

I'm debating going to Austin for this, but it's my friend's birthday that weekend, so...

I'd go if I were closer, it's not like they are trying to cash in on something, he died. I loved them so much.

I had somebody walk up to me when I was in high school and said my voice sounded like Rodney Anonymous. I thought that was a compliment... it probably wasn't.

One of the first bands I saw at Hampshire College, years ago. Very few people there, but it was a great fucking show! Dave Blood was really cool and he sold me some DM stuff before playing. Really nice guy. I love this band and forgive them for their Hollywood Records phase.

OH GOD, I wouldn't go there, that goes to Big Lizard..., it isn't even up for debate, although I would say Not Richard but Dick as a whole was better than everything after and including Metaphysical Graffiti.

Philadelphia... Austin.. how about Chicago next time? I'm not wealthy enough to travel such long distances, even to see some of the greatest bands ever perform once in a lifetime shows. Sigh... I'm jealous of all of you who go.
