The only stuff I remember putting on here was Sloppy Seconds. The Bad Religion and Mr. T Experience and Stiff Little Fingers were all her own doing. I'm pretty proud of her.

She probably also has a surprising amount of naked pictures of me. Don't worry, she didn't put them there. It's the "Dante's wang" virus. I've just given it to everyone who reads punknews.

True. I love flatfoot. They won't be up there preaching or trying to convert you. but if you look into their lyrics they do have a religious overtone. But its all positive. I, myself, am an athiest and I find their lyrics awesome. They put a positive tone on them and are just an all around fun band. I dont usually like fun bands either.

oh and yes, the lizard and snake was awesome.

favorite show i saw there (one of my favorite shows ever)
blanks77, bouncing souls, and john cougar concentration camp.

blanks was really fun, souls ruled as one would expect, and jcc was fun as well.

also, i distinctly remember algebra one was playing a house show down the road. i missed it, and only found out about it when i ran into jason and lynn saying they just got back from it. fuckers didnt tell me in advance about it. i was sad.

I was at a bunch of those shows. The LTJ and Ann Beretta show was killer, there was a really great picture taken from pretty high up above that was me at the front of the stage shoving the shit out of somebody. It was great, wish I had a copy of it.

I agree, but spreading christinaity and spreading racism aren't exactly equal. Racism is generally offensive, religion in a matter of different beliefs. I don't listen to christian music, but I don't cringe when I hear someone talk about jesus, I do cringe when I hear someone using racist rhetoric.

Your line of thinking is asinine.

So who should get to operate in the punk scene? Anyone not preachy? I don't really see how you can even begin to justify your statement. If you don't like an artist who sings about God then don't listen to them. But please don't use the straw-man that bands who preach can reasonably be compared to a white power or any sort of racist band. It fails on so many levels of critical thinking.

Its a prejudice based on experience.Not all Christians are racsit,but ALOT are,and its entwined with their blind faith.The ones that arent still claim I deserve to suffer for eternity for not uttering the correct incantation regardless of inalienable rights,facts countering their dogma,my charechter or actual ethics or what theirs really are. Refuse caliing out in submission to someone un-provable and ministered by mere mortals???? No escape from Hellfire. The Faith IS intolerance and bigotry AND just DUMB.Thats why we dont like it.

So pretty much any band now should not operate in the punk scene... Granted most punk bands aren't Christian or White Power, most bands do spread the word of either:
A. living your life
B. having Fun
C. condone drinking
D. hating/loving girls
E. being straight edge
F. hating the government
etc...

I'll pretty much wrap this one up. EVERY band you listen to is spreading the word of something. That would be considered preaching on all accounts.

The difference is,for the most part,politics is one voice calling out.Religion tends to draw a mob. It offers answers for questions that are temporally inanswerable. I can handle someone calling me an idiot.But when someone says that if I dont believe in the absolute trealism of their symbols and myth's that my consciousness will be made to suffer for eternity...I get nervous. Dont give me any "Waht about Russia" back talk neither. This is Ameriac we are talkinabout and if Fascism comes to America, it'll be wearing a flag and toting a cross.

I've never met them but heard they are "nice guys" from almost everyone I've talked to. Not sure why you assume I have a personal problem with them or think that you can change my opinion that they and their record label are trying to use the punk scene as a recruiting ground for the big guy in the sky.
