Minus The Bear have announced a headlining tour with main support provided by Annuals. Along the way, the two bands will be joined by Themes, 27, Helms Alee and Sylvie.

Wait....is Minus the Bear any good? They're absolutely amazing. Their sound is hard to describe. It's kind of indie rockish with lots of finger tapping math rock guitar. Sounds wierd I know but do yourself a favor and check out anything they've released.

I've always liked the "they make beer commercials like this" EP
Newer stuff i think is harder to get into at first but pretty damn amazing

You know I was thinking the same thing. Ever since "Menos" came out. That was the first time I didn't instantly love what I was hearing from the band. I gave it a few more trys and now I think its one of their best. Same happened to the new one even though it is probably my least favorite album of theirs.

I....third?...that notion. Beer Comercials is great. Its short, sweet and really gets to the point of what Minus The Bear is all about in (now) 7 songs.

Has Minus The Bear ever toured with These Arms Are Snakes? That would be wierd. Are there any other Botch side projects out right now?

they played a show togethe rin denver a few years back. i don't know if it was a full tour though.

They toured with them (These Arms Are Snakes) and The Velvet Teen in the fall of 2003, actually. I drove from OKC to Omaha to see a show on that tour, and it was amazing.

Minus The Bear rules.

27 (Relapse / Hydra Head Records) is this amazing female-fronted "slow-core" band. They actually toured with Mastodon a bunch, even though they were in a completely different genre of music. I saw them about 6 years ago, and they were fantastic, and nice people to boot. Definitely go see them & pick up their records. Awesome.

Fans of mellow, indie/electronica with female vocals should check 27 out.
