Pennywise, Gorilla Biscuits, Strung Out, Vandals to play Liskfest in Irvine, CA

Liskfest will take place this year on October 11th at Oak Canyon Ranch in Irvine, California. The event will feature bands like Pennywise, Gorilla Biscuits, the Aquabats, Strung Out, the Vandals, Ignite, Death By Stereo, Strife, Every Time I Die, Rival Schools, H20, Bleeding Through, Revolution Mother, Set Your Goals, Dear Hearts, Ill Patriot and Dead Sara. Because you wanted to move to a place that didn't have shows... I don't get it? And you can't argue that the East Coast is better because half of the big bands (Gorilla Biscuits/H2O/Rival Schools, etc) are from the Atlantic Seaboard and they have far more retarded hardcore/punk festivals over there.

I keep thinking the same thing. I'm here for work right now, I went running around yesterday at my old neighborhoods. So much has changed but I still fucking love it. I've gotta move back out here.

I hate outdoor festivals, it just doesn't feel right, plus I don't like dirt or kids. However, I would love to see Walter crank out some of the old hits, it just sucks that he'll crank out Gorilla Biscuits and Rival Schools stuff but it appears that I'll never get to hear Quicksand songs live again.

I dug up a bunch of Rip-offs singles, but I have some serious work in front of me to have both bands full discographies. Also, The Fingers aren't making themselves easy to find on the internets.

That's what internet friends are for. I don't mind sending you stuff like this, only way to get some of it now is paying record-collector prices (fuck that). There was a great 3 song live set of The RipOffs on a comp called 'Texas Speed Trials' recorded live at emos in Austin.

I've got all their stuff, plus a hefty chunk of The Fingers stuff. The band they formed after the RipOffs imploded were pretty great too, they were The Zodiac Killers. Best way to describe them would be the mad scientist creation between The Rip Offs and The Angry Samoans (that's good).

The Infections weren't bad either. When I'm done being on tour and I can get home I'll zip some shit up to you.

i agree with everything you said except all of it. the quickening is their best album. hitler bad is fuckin mad as shit. still look forward to all new vandals albums, the last few have been pretty good. this one sounds heaps good ... might have to download napster or someshit fuck paying for digital album
