The Aquabats are a musical ensemble from Southern California known as much for their costumes and comic-book inspired personas as for their sound. The music itself is a blend of third-wave ska, electronica, surf, new wave and punk rock.
Often cited influences include Devo, Oingo Boingo, Madness and The Skatalites. Another notable quality of the band is that it was one of the most significant early contributions of Travis Barker, who went on to join Blink-182 and Plus 44.
