The Haunted: “Moronic Colossus”

the Haunted have posted the first new track from their upcoming full length. The record is titled Versus and is due out October 14, 2008. It was once again produced by the Tue Madsen (Dark Tranquillity).

Agreed, nothing will touch Made Me Do It. However, I do like every one of their albums on some level, and they are fucking awesome live. They have a hardcore feel.

This song sounds a lot like a "The Dead Eye" song but with less effects, and actually has a solo.
But if you look at their myspace songs, they don't have any of their great songs on the list. They have all their radio friendly rock songs.

This song is decent, but not awesome. But judging by the other songs they choose to put up as samples, I wouldn't discredit that the upcoming album can rock.

I saw At The Gates in San Francisco! It fucking ruled!
I love the Haunted as well. In Flames are supposed to do a US headlining tour in Nov.

i know. i've actually heard a couple of rumours that they're going to be touring with the haunted. but those are just rumours.

If those rumors are true, it would be one of the best shows of the year (after At The Gates of course). It would masturbate to that thought. Could happen, both do have touring plans, and neither have posted dates.

This was the first time I heard of the band. I noticed two chord progressions that I recognized from Yellowcard's single "Light Up The Sky" from their CD Paper Walls which came out on July 17th, 2007 and is still selling copies.

Lately, I haven't been able to stop listening to "rEVOLVEr."

"Made Me Do It" has some pretty good music, but Peter Dolving is way, WAY better than Marco Aro.
