Media: Jena Berlin: "Foolish Optimism" and vinyl news

Philly's Jena Berlin will be releasing their new 7" This Is Yours As Much As It Is Mine via Jump Start and its now available for preorder. The limited vinyl features two new tracks (complete with digital download) recorded by Vince Ratti (Zolof, Circa Survive, None More Black). You can check out "Great Plains" at the band's MySpace page and "Foolish Optimism" at Jump Start's MySpace.

The band's most recent LP Quo Vadimus is about to get the vinyl treatment via Ass-Card records in Europe. The band expects to have it for their upcoming european tour. Before their trek overseas, they'll be doing a five-day tour with Scream Hello and a few days with Static Radio NJ.

i took that as encouragement to move the freaks and geeks series to the top of my netflix queue.

I just thought I'd share that I'm almost through the first disc of Arrested Development season 1. It truly is a great show. Thank you (and Matt, jacknife, Branden and everyone else that told me to check it out). I'd like to finish it up tomorrow while eating pancakes, but I really can't be spending money right now. Not even for pancakes :(

I don't think they deserve this much attention. They're a fine band and all I guess, but once some of the hype pressure is off they'll just be another band in the mix making reasonable music. This whole "they're amazing and are going to be huge" thing is getting rather weary since they're not amazing nor will they be "huge".
