Rx Bandits post two acoustic tracks

Rx Bandits have posted two acoustic tracks for streaming. The songs, "To Our Unborn Daughters" and "1980" can be streamed on their myspace page.

The band released ...And the Battle Begun in 2006.

i agree on the rx bandits...but kind of shocked that you don't like tom waits...bone machine pretty much changed my life.

The lady and I were watching Tom Waits perform on some late-night show one night a few months back. Our friend from out of town was visiting. About mid-way through Waits' performance, my girl says "This is fucking horrible, who would like this guy." To which our friend replied, "well, i do." True story. I'm definitely not into him enough to consider myself a fan. And to me, I'm right.

nah, i dig it. for me i always sort of enjoyed his weirder stuff...then came the wonderful night of LSD and bone machine, now i loves him hard.

i've got a thing for musicians who just don't give a fuck, though. tom waits is definitely up there on that list, along with (the ever so mighty) ween...actually developing the same kind of love for that gogol bordello band...at first i thought it was ridiculous...but it's really growing on me and ALWAYS puts a smile on my face

give "the resignation" a few listens, it's their best IMO, and very varied. if you want poppier, go backwards, if you want proggier/reggae-er, go forwards.

The reason these tracks suck is that they can't keep a tempo. They need to make sure they always play with a drummer or at least a metronome.

Great band, great live show, and Matt Embree is an awesome guy.

Might be the 2nd coolest guy in the bis I have ever sat down and had a conversation with. Dan Yemin being #1 of course...

well, you need to have some structure to make it good, extremes don't work that well. they were excellent before the last album.

I'm talking about structure, song structure. if you have a new riff that's more like a solo every 10 seconds then yeah, it doesn't flow for me. no need to be an asshole. + they use a lot of the melodies and riffs from the last albums there.

i remember this band doesnt sound like theyve progressed any from their early stuff. wasnt their cd called "progress" if it is (which i think it is) no pun inteded. i still ike their band name
