"The Clash - the Boston Tapes" available from Red Note Beats

Red Note Beats, the people responsible for many recent Clash releases including the Joe Strummer / Johnny Cash "Redemption Song" 12", is distributing The Clash - The Boston Tapes. The LP captures a live show at the Orpheum Theater in Boston USA, recorded over the nights of 7th and 8th September 1982. It is available on both standard black and very limited edition translucent red vinyl via Viva Zapata!. You can find more information here.

I want this but am far took broke after the recent Asian Man releases. I'll just have to content myself with my copy of Golden Bullets (suck it, nerd scum) and the new DVD (bought mostly for the new pint glass).

Did you ever see the National Geographic special on straight edge? Everyone involved was priceless. They showed some edge show at a club and they had to barricade off the bar because they were afraid of the crowd going nuts and smashing the stock.

By far the best part though were the band of like 12 year old kids starting a hardcore band, and listening to them practice a song that including lines like "no mercy for my enemies" in their little pixie, pre-pubescent voices made me laugh so hard I almost shit myself.

i will totally get this. combat rock is such an underrated record.

also i just spent several straight hours watching venture bros and now everything i read is (unintentionally) in a different characters voice. the book i'm reading is narrated by the monarch and all of your comments are read by dean venture. which makes you all sound incredibly naive and stupid.
