Saul Williams has posted the newest video from his recently collaboration with Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. The record recently saw a proper physical version after the original donation-only release, The Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust, was released last year.

Some idiot asked that when Saul did spoken word at Bumbershoot, and he sounded like every other 13-year-old kid who rails against blink-182 or Green Day or Rise Against or Gaslight Anthem. And Williams dealt with him properly.

I don't have a problem with people doing endorsement deals. I have a problem with people who claim to be socially conscious artists taking money from a company with pretty blatant sweatshop practices. I think a lot of punx fear money like cavemen fear fire, which is kind of dumb. I just think that if you're going to take a stand on sometimes don't be surprised when people call you on your shit.

I really like this album, but the main problem is that there's so much Trent Reznor all over it, Saul Williams barely comes through at all. You can't even tell it's Saul Williams singing. It might as well just be Reznor singing and have NIN written on the front.

And the video is boring.

Exactly. It seems Trent was more into putting his sound on the album than making sure Saul Williams came across. It's the epic downfall of the album. By far the worst thing Saul has done.

Whoa just found someone with the same name as me aside from a 1 letter difference on the middle initial. They live at a military base not too far from me.

That is crazy, my last name is not common at all, last time I googled my name just one guy came up in like Ohio. Inexplicably, he was also Asian.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Try reading digg.com or cracked.com. Digg passes time becaues of all the retarded comments people leave and Cracked has a bunch of lists which are usually pretty funny.

you'll have to scroll all the way down, cos rightnow there's abunch of david foster wallace tribute, or maybe you're interested in that. but at the bottom of http://www.mcsweeneys.net/ is a bunch of lists. some of them are like, "medications and ailments", you decide. and there's a list of 16 words. you have to figure out if it's a medication or an ailment. or both.

there's a lot of chaff, but the wheat is pretty good, too. easy way to spend a lot of time.

I find them both about the same. All the headlines are pretty much "OMGZ PALIN SUXXXX!!!!1111" and about 4 articles in the top ten are either about McCain or Obama. Boring. Not that I don't think politics are important, but most of those articles are biased to the point where I don't want to read them.
