Shortly after launching their new imprint on Justice/Universal after leaving Interscope/Universal, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead have released the first track from their new release. You can stream "Bells of Creation" from the upcoming Festival Thyme EP on their MySpace page.

I still don't get it. October 16th would make sense because 8 + 16 = 24 and "x" is the 24th letter... But how the 17th is related to the edge escapes me.

Because only 17 year olds claim to be straight edge now. October fits in because it's the 10th month and the 17 year olds who claim to be straight edge have the brain of a 10 year old. 10/17. The number 23 can kiss my ass.

This sounds a little more conventional, but no less amazing.

This song is good. It has a Who sound to it.

Sort of, but the difference here is that they have creative control. And they get to handle their own promotion, and pretty much any other administrative task. It's not as anti-climactic as it seems.

Wilco were dropped by one label under the WEA umbrella, and resigned to another label under WEA. Reprise and Nonesuch really had any connection other than the same parent company.

This is my favourite band. A lot fo people disliked Worlds Apart and So Divided, but I loved them. Source Tags is still their best album, but I think the new full length will be at least a close second.
