The Night Marchers have announced some December dates. The band includes members of Beehive and the Barracudas, Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes and Rocket From The Crypt and will be supporting See You in Magic, their debut. You can purchase tickets here.

I'm not saying it's a masterpiece, but I think if the most recent Indiana Jones had come out in the mid 80's people wouldn't have found nearly as many problems with it. I think the "atomic refrigerator" would have been a delightful, cheesy touch. I think in these post simpsons, post seinfeld, post grunge days we are all too inclined to be incredulous and skeptical about everything. The only way it would have "worked" for a modern audience would have been to make it all gritty and sleek and realistic and that wouldn't have been Indiana Jones. Fin.

yeah, don't get me wrong I thought it was great (the episode). I've felt this way since the movie was so thoroughly panned though. And cheese, you are probably right that it is not a must see. The time for such things may have passed. I just wish people would take it for what it was, or at least be aware of the reasons they're not. It would be a hard thing for anyone to recapture.

i'd pay cash money to see a drive like jehu/hot snakes/rocket from the crypt/night marchers tour.

that'd almost be as good as a lifetime/kid dynamite/paint it black/armalite tour.
