The Thermals sign to Kill Rock Stars

Portland's the Thermals have signed to Kill Rock Stars. The label will release the band's fourth LP Now We Can See, on April 7th, with a 7" preceding it on March 10th. The record was produced by John Congleton and follows up 2006's The Body, The Blood, The Machine.

In a recent interview with Pitchfork, frontman Hutch Harris announced that the group will now feature drummer Westin Glass. Glass most recently played with Seattle's Say Hi.

Fuck. I thought I was done giving these assclowns my money when Sleater-Kinney signed to Sub Pop. Fuck. The Thermals are too good to pass up, though.

1) Fuck Portland and everyone from there

2) They gave Kathleen Hanna a platform. You know how much I hate Kathleen Hanna? I would rather go to a show featuring Hawthorne Heights, Metro Station, Underoath, AND MAX BEMIS ACOUSTIC COVERS OF SAVES THE DAY SONGS rather than sit through ONE song by Le Tigre or Bikini Kill. People like Kathleen Hanna are the reason no one takes feminists seriously. She was/is basically a rock 'n' roll Andrea Dworkin.

Great fucking news. Thermals rule.

In other news I just got the new Japanther album. HOLY SHIT! Tracks 2,3, and 6 are amazing. Such good music. Japanther and The Thermals should tour together. I would attend such show. The Hold Steady next Saturday. So Stoked.

the production is better, his voice sounds better, the songs are better constructed, the lyrics are better, there are actual lead parts. apparently you're either too punk to care, or fail at music.

haha okay, my comments were no more pretentious than anyone else's. In order to say one album is "better than" another one, you have to have a certain arrogance, seeing your opinion as more valid than someone else's. you fail at social critique.
