Nothington working on new album

Nothington has posted an update on their MySpace blog which states that for the next months they will be concentrating on recording a new album. The entry also promises tour dates next year:

To everyone who came to the Fest, The Bouncing Souls shows or saw me on the handful of solo dates, thank you! We are home now in SF working to finish the writing/ pre-production for the next record and that will be the focus for the next few months. Be ready for big things next year seeing as gas prices are almost low enough for us to make another round. Again, thank you all and stay tuned.

The band released All In in 2007.

I totally agree, man! At least once a week, I still get in that mood where all I wanna listen to is All In. They're one of those bands that occasionally something hits me and I just need to listen to them.

I loved All In, one of my favorite new bands in a while.
I really hope these guys play a show anywhere near Detroit some day.

I can't wait for the new album. I've listened to All In more than 60 times (according to my last.fm) and that's not even counting all the times i listened to it on my mp3 player.

seeing nothington at the fest was so amazing. easily one of the top ten shows i've been to, and i've been to quite a lot of shows in the past 15 years.

i had just gotten some really terrible news a few minutes before the show started, and rebooked my flight to leave gainesville on the first available plane out of GNV. i walked into the market street pub, took a shot of whiskey, guzzled a pbr, and walked up to the front just in time to get some great photos and become a part of a magical show. i almost frickin cried. the song 'where i stand' has been stuck in my head constantly ever since. its like that show altered my brain permanantly.

Their set at Fest was pretty awesome. The five Strongbows I had while the Menzingers, whose set was pretty good as well, were playing made it even better.

And Where I Stand has been in my head constantly since then as well.

I hope the new stuff is more like the first 5 songs of All In...there is only one track after 5 that I listen to. Still, love the first 5 tracks, just gets a little indistinguishable after that.

True, but at least all these shows aren't playing at the same time. Going to Vegas is just a lot of fun and I don't have to worry about missing bands I want to see. I did see Street Trash out there one year at Balcony Lights with The Pervz, that was a fucking cool show that just happened to be during the daytime on Saturday.
