Tours: Reel Big Fish / Streetlight Manifesto

Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto will be hitting the road together on January 1st, 2009. The two bands will be on the road together for just over three weeks. Reel Big Fish is planning on releasing a new covers album in 2009. The record is titled Fame, Fortune and Fornication and is due out January 20, 2009.

Since RBF are releasing a covers album, does that mean all Streetlight will do on this tour is covers as well and get their album recorded?

Last time i saw Reel Big Fish (in 2007) they played "beer" 4 times and "sell out" three times. bleh.

If you were a modestly big Streetlight Manifesto fan and an overall fan, though maybe you don't listen to anything but two records by Reel Big Fish, would you go to this?

Though I might have interprited wrong.
I like SLM a lot. I really don't know anything by RBF except for well, Beer and sellout.
I don't know what I am doing yet.

saw em on the same tour and remembered why i used to hate them so much.

Streetlight is pretty good, but they've never really stood out to me very much aside from having one catchy song that they wrote 34 different sets of roughly the same lyrics to...

against all authority owned it that night and gave me and about 20 other badass dudes a great show while all the kiddies stood in the back looking scared and confused

I love Streetlight but cannot stand Reel Big Fish. It seems like every time there's a ska band I want to see, they're on tour with RBF. Hell, they'll probably be opening the Specials reunion tour, with how my luck goes.

Really? Both of these bands hit Cleveland at LEAST once a year. Hell, I've seen Streetlight in Cleveland twice this year and RBF once a year for the last three years. Including this one.

That being said, I can hardly stand the crowds at the Cleveland ska shows anymore. They're so fucking annoying. I want to go to this but I don't know if I will or not.

MAN! They're not comin to Florida, but they're going to Worcster where a few friends live 15 minuets away in West Boylston, and they don't even listen to Ska :(

Otherwise I wouldn't care, but thats a slap to the face.

They already toured together in Europe this year. I saw them, it was not bad, I used to like RBF 5 years ago so I enjoyed their show. I don't understand the hate, OK they have stupid lyrics and their music is far from groundbreaking, but they've never pretended to be anything more than a catchy ska/pop band, so they're just doing their job and that's it.
