Media: 16: "Skin and Bones"

Southern California's 16 have posted a new song, "Skin and Bones," online. The song is from the band's upcoming full length Bridges To Burn set for a January 20th, 2009 release through Relapse Records. This will be the first album featuring the band's original lineup since the release of the critically acclaimed album Dropout.

The band's entire catalog will be re-released through Relapse Records next year. You can listen to their new song here.

Christ, if your going to burn on a band at least know what the hell you are talking about. 16 cranked out some great metal/noise rock a few years back. They might sound dated now.. but I'll check out the new stuff just in case..

16's "Drop Out" is one of the all time slept on classic riff metal records ever. Just an amazing assortment of down-tuned metal with serious anger issues. I always though that fans of Unsane or early Helmet would get into these guys, but they never toured and their label was too small to get the word out. Pick this one up for a buck in your local used bin and you won't be disappointed.
