I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand what you're saying from a strategic standpoint. But it is entirely hypocritical for the "Land of the Free" to support a country that has consistently murdered innocent Palestinian civilians. Earlier today, an Israeli bomb took out 11 Palestinians who were in a mosque worshiping.

Its terrorism, through and through, and by supporting it, we're being contradictory and holding a double standard. I'm not saying the U.S. should support Hamas because they're in the wrong too, but Israel is most definitely in the wrong. Hell, Bush looooves what they're doing right now - so does Cheesetits

You're absolutely right about Israel being in the wrong, I absolutely do. But I think publicly panning Israel's actions would greatly confuse the Middle East Nations we're currently putting on clinics of mass destruction in.

I think a war of words isn't what a young President like Barack Obama, who basically has to start working before he's even sworn in, isn't something he needs to focus on entirely though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he should applaud it, but there are ways of discouraging heinous acts such as these without causing both sides to completely lose their tempers with each other (I'm of course talking about the US and Israel here) such as simply not supporting them whatsoever.

If that means tightening up on trades, or putting a hold on them all together with Israel then so be it. It might cause tensions, but I'm betting more in the favor that it'd cause them to stop killing for two seconds once that sweet, sweet money train comes to a halt.
