I think that if you wanna speak as generally as possible about a broad spectrum of bands, then it is usually the third album that makes or breaks their career. If people are tired of them by their third, then they're done for. If their third is wildly popular, they could very well be done for with their fourth.

Yeah, I totally see what you mean there. Your have your whole life to write the first album, the second album is leftovers plus stuff you wrote while touring for the first album and the third album is all new stuff.
I just mean that I wouldn't think a band of this size that hasn't really changed their musical style over their career would see a big increase in popularity for their third album because it's very similar to the other two. But they have, so good for them. I hope they keep getting bigger they a pretty hard working group.
