Metal supergroup Shrinebuilder is set to record their self-titled debut album for Neurot Recordings. The group features Wino of Hidden Hand and St. Vitus, Al Cisneros from Om and Sleep, Scott Kelly of Neurosis, and Dale Crover Melvins. They'll be recording with Big Business's Toshi Kasai in Los Angeles for a release date sometime this summer.
Scott Kelly will be documenting the recording process on his blog, including guest posts from the other members and photos.

I look forward to this. Not a fan of any of the bands really except Neurosis. I am hoping for the best. Although I always thought Al from Sleep was sort of a Kook.

So I'm watching The West Wing, I'm on season 2, and there was an episode in which the Surgeon General was giving an interview on basically how non-harmful pot is, and that she sees no reason why it's really illegal. This went against the stance of the administration that hired her and they got all mad and stuff etc etc..
BUT, in the interview she said "it doesn't have the same addictive properties as heroin or LSD". This bothered me, because LSD has no addictive properties at all, much less that of heroin.
Unfortunately that season is like 5 years old so there's no longer a point in writing a letter to HBO in order to correct this writing error. So instead I'll just hope that someone from HBO reads this.
