Tours: Propagandhi / Paint It Black

Propagandhi have announced a US tour set to kick off in March. The Winnipeg-based band is gearing up for the release of their new album, Supporting Caste on March 10, 2009. Support for the tour will be provided by Paint It Black. Paint It Black released your third favorite album of 2008 in New Lexicon.

anyone ever been to the venue in Virginia Beach? Peabody's or whatever it is? How big is it? Is it a good place to see shows? Trying to decide if I want to drive down to Hotlanta, or up to VA Beach.

Peabodys holds 850 people. Its a perfect set up for mid size shows like this.

Peabody's is usually a nightclub. I don't think there should be a problem with the place getting packed up. The only problem is that you might have to find parking on the shoreline (costs $).

yeah its pretty cool. they usually use it as a nightclub but i guess they started booking punk shows. its a little bigger than the Peppermint beach club right down the street from it. it can probably hold a couple hundred people

I remember that tour, because I had two tickets and I had a kidney stone that stuck me in the hospital the morning of the show. My girlfriend was pissed. I wasn't too happy either, except for the Demerol and other hospital meds. Still, I want to see Prop, come to the midwest, you bastards!!

I'm a Descendentsaholic, don't get me wrong (like, borderline tattoo worthy, thinking about the I Don't Wanna Grow Up cover by my calf) but I like Bonus Fat, Milo Goes To College, I Don't Wanna Grow Up and Cool To Be You more than Everything Sucks. I wish Enjoy! and All were less spotty.

I don't really see how people don't worship 'Everything Sucks'. That album to me, besides 'From Here to Infirmary' is one of the most flawless albums of all time.

I appreciate all those albums greatly, but for me it's almost not even a judgment call (with the exception of 'I Don't Want to Grow Up') as their best work.

I Don't Want To Grow Up is fucking incredible, one of the greatest punk records of all time. But if you don't count Green Day or NOFX, Milo Goes To College was the first punk rock album I ever got, holding a biased, special place in my heart.

It's not like I would complain about a Say Anything show having annoying Jailbait at it, it comes with the territory.

This is awesome! I wouldn't have thought they would ever come back to virginia beach, especially peabodys. The people here pretty much suck, everybody cool always moves up to richmond.
