Hoodwink Festival with Bayside, New Found Glory, Badfish, Set Your Goals

The Bamboozle spinoff Hoodwink have announced much of the line up for the 2009 edition of the festival. The event features bands performing cover sets of bands that influenced them. For example, Bayside will be tackling NOFX, New Found Glory will be covering Green Day, Set Your Goals will cover Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), We the Kings will cover Jimmy Eat World and others.

You forgot that Forever The Sickest Kids are coverin Avril Lavinge. That's the most perfect pairing of any of the bands listed.

I think Hoodwink is a good name for this Festival. Better than the original, "Bands you don't like covering other bands you don't like" Festival.

Anytime D4 or Prop comes through town it's an event that can not be missed for any reason.
Worse comes to worse just go mug an old lady or something. It'll totally be worth it.

i would watch nfg cover green day.

my band played with we the kings randomly one time and it was quite the myspace-core affair. there wasn't a dry pair of 13 year old panites in the house when those dudes took the stage.

like 6 different kids came to our merch table after our set and said we reminded them of a "tony hawk pro skater" band.

When did people start taking Badfish so seriously? It's cute how they're like a real band now.

Seriously. Cover bands are for kids and older dudes who have jobs and just want to dick around w/ friends in the basement/garage and maybe play the local bar once a month or so.

If your entire career consists of playing other people's music, it may be time to consider the fact that you suck at life.

Well, just goes to show you how clever Bamboozle pretended to be last year by saying NOFX, Britney Spears and Sublime were playing in the first place.

To celebrate this wonderful deduction on my account, I'm not going to either stupid concert.

Actually from day one they said that 2009 would be "The year we tribute..." They never pretended that those bands were playing the show, everyone just assumed without doing any research.
