Banner Pilot set to record new album

According to the bands Myspace page, Banner Pilot has set dates to start recording a new album and release this Fall. Bassist Nate had this to say in their latest blog:

So we're in the process of writing the next album. We've got 10 or 11 songs now, at varying degrees of completion, and i have one more that's basically just a demo on my computer with drum machine drums and stuff. We're hoping to record in late January or February, but we'll see. The end result will be 12 new songs.

The band released Resignation Day in 2008

Very 'meh'... but I never liked the "plain pop punk mid tempo rarely catchy mostly silly with or without raspy-ish vocals" genre... so I probably shouldn't even bother commenting on any of those bands.

i'll agree, they are plain pop punk, but i find their songs very catchy. i'm not sure i would categorize their lyrics as silly, either. but whatever, to each his own.

to be fair, it does take a few listens to properly sink in, i'll grant you that, but you're jumping to a whole lot of conclusions with that description you've thrown out there.

But wasn't Lock told in an earlier episode that he was needed to help fight a war? I was thinking that could be between Darma and the Others.. but that would mess with the future, so who the hell knows. I almost gave up trying to figure out what's going to happen next in that show.

Yeah i saw Neko on Leno. She was awesome.

My shit was awesome too. I love coming back from the bathroom with a magazine under my arm and a really satisfied look on my face. The bitch who sits next to me is totally grossed out. Good times.

Yeah, they've had 10-30% off sales since December. I think the officially close by the end of this week?

My local Circuit City was kind of depressing to walk around. There's almost nothing in there.

When I was there on Sunday everything was 70%-90% off. It was pretty much empty but they had a huge surplus of Ipod accessories.

Did you find anything there? I found At The Drive in "Vaya" and the "bad scene" Jawbreaker tribute album. Not too shabby I guess.

We didn't get 60-70% off until that Sunday either, but I didn't check it out. There's no point since there was just about nothing when I went weeks before then.

This Circuit City had a real shitty music selection anyhow.

The songs on Resignation Day were fucking awesome, but honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of the production. That said, I'm still really looking forward to this record.

i dunno, i kinda disliked the production to start with, but after a while i got used to it. it kinda gives it character. i mean, the songs on pass the poison are just as good, but i find myself listening to RD way more.
