It's okay, a big step back, though. Say what you will about Coming Home, some of those tunes had huge hooks and this one...not so much.

when i have to scroll more than once to get to the music player, it's usually not a good sign.

after a certain age, wearing dickies shants is just plain unacceptable. that age was less than half of how old all these guys are now.

I was pleasantly surprised by this; got kind of a Sticks and Stones vibe. Not sure if it's just the nostalgia factor, but this is their best stuff in a while.

ok i understand that they have a weird cult-thing going on with "hardcore" kids over the last two years (fuck knows why), but to label themselves "hardcore" on their myspace page is a tad ridiculous, dont you think?

I hate this fucking piece of shit whiny pussy rock band. The only people that listen to this crap that I forgive are chicks, and not all chicks but just the real effeminate ones.

You know what album I realized is one of the best ever on Monday?
jeffernator (March 6, 2009)
didn't like coming home very much, and catalyst was ok. their first 3 were good. this album is good too.

Glad I just graduated high school before these guys became popular, bad enough when Blink 182 became huge.

Sounds bad.. maybe I have to get used to it, but I usually loved NFG songs from the first time I heard them so this is strange..
facetofacereunion08 (March 6, 2009)
This is so bad. This type of power pop gives me a headache. At least they dont wear neon clothes and have girl hair. I still think "nothing gold can stay" is solid. they havent written songs like that since. some of the songs on there were fast and intense and pretty solid.
deadXlast (March 6, 2009)
I like this better than Coming Home. His voice is a lot less whiny, which is good. They music sounds okay to me, just kinda lacks the punch of some of the older stuff. I'm sure the writing is decent though, so I'll keep giving it a listen.
consider_the_ravens (March 7, 2009)
whats up with this band thinking they are "hardcore." i actually enjoyed most coming home for than their other albums but this cd sucks. why dont you try to break new ground as a band instead of going backwards.

it seems like every hxc/metal kid i know is all of the sudden in fucking LOVE with new found glory...but i remember those same kids making fun of me all the time in 1999-2000 for digging 'em. Hey, being a pop punk kid (even the NFG variety) is still cooler than the slipknot/ICP/ limp bizkit garbage all those HXC kids were into around the same time...so fuck it.

So, I get to see Shai Hulud and Set Your Goals in Indianapolis. By far the best show we've had in a really long time. Sad, isn't it? Shai Hulud though, and I have a soft spot for SYG. I'm pumped.
FelixT (March 7, 2009)
Should I get this or the new Propagandhi album coming out the same day, which is actually pretty fucking awesome? Hum... dilemma.
Crashtester (March 7, 2009)
Every song is the same boring slow formula, why is almost every band out there today apart from A Wilhelm and a few others so fuckin scared to play fast? |

I had totally forgotten that they had signed on to Epitaph.
