Coalesce have set a release date for Ox, their first record in ten years. The veteran hardcore/noise band will be releasing their album on June 9, 2009 in North America and June 15, 2009 everywhere else.
The album was recorded with Ed Rose at Blacklodge Studios and is the band's first new full length since reuniting in 2007. Since then, the band released a new 7-inch, Salt and Passage, and reissued 012:2.

I think its funny that the uninitiated refer to anything distorted as "noise". I knew this kid in junior high who wouldn't listen to anything but stuff like Tal Bachman and Matchbox 20, and I turned the station and Foo Fighters came on, and him and his mom both just looked at eachother.
