Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem): "Tin Pan Alley"

The Gaslight Anthem's Brian Fallon has posted another new solo track. The latest, "Tin Pan Alley" is available at his MySpace page.

Brian's band is currently in the midst of a headlining tour.

I have a history professor that doesnt let guys wear hats but, lets girls do it. SO, today, he siad "could all you gentleman remove your hats please." and every guy did. He then pointed to some girl in the 2nd row and said, "remove your hat, sir." and she goes "me?" my professor heard the high voice and said "oh, my mistake." i was laughing pretty hard.

What a douche, why would it matter who wears a hat in class? I always hated the "no hats" rule. And what's up with taking off a hat during a Nationalism Anthem? That doesn't make me respect the flag any more.

i know. i was surprised to hear that in a college lecture. every other person is in pajamas but, apparently hats arent allowed. i dont wear hats so i dont really care.

since when do cultural traditions have to be logical? at some point, someone decided that removing your hat was a sign of respect. enough people played along, and now rednecks across country will label you a "terrorist" if you don't take off your hat for the national anthem.

Agreed. Like, what asshole decided that ties look "nice" and ruined it for the rest of us. They look stupid and are uncomfortable.

Can you imagine if it were the opposite? Mohawks were considered business-like and professional and ties represent, well, whatever mohawks represent (punk rawk)?

How come this guy can get away with being overtly religious and no one calls him on it because it's "OMG GASLIGHT ANTHEMS!!!11" but if it was any other band they would be ostricized from the orgcore.

Why would you call someone out on being religious? Especially Brian Fallon, who with the exception of the Cash cover, does not incorporate it into his music at all?

Woo stinging retort. Except I didn't say he shouldnt have different beliefs I stated that any other non-popular orgcore band would catch shit for similar lyrics.

And also I have to listen to christian dogma crammed down my throat on a regular basis, so If I don't feel like listening to someone sing about that god garbage then that's my choice. So yeah, fuck religious music, and fuck people who try to make me out for being "closed minded" because I don't care to hear about Brain Fallons spirtual revelations.
