Tumbledown (Mike from MxPx) announce debut full length

Tumbledown, the country-styled project from Mike Herrera of MxPx has announced the release of their debut. The record is titled Tumbledown and is due out May 19, 2009. Along with Mike, the record features guitarist Jack Parker, standup bassist Marshall Trotland, and drummer Harley Trotland.

The album was recorded at Monkey Trench Studios, produced by Mike Herrera and mixed by Stephen Egerton (Descendents, All).

Can I just be "that guy" and say, "not everyone needs a god damn country project". If that's where you're from and that's your culture (Tim Barry, Austin Lucas, Chuck Ragan) that's one thing but this dude is from god damn Washington. I'm just tired of it.

You kidding me? Country was always the top radio station in this state, probably still is, there's like 3 or 4 stations of it. There are rednecks galore here, and then you go east.....it's an entirely new state. Buuuut....you're still pretty right because these guys didn't come from the redneck parts. Nirvana, yes. MXPX, not exactly.

Where he's from doesn't mean shit. I have family in El Salvador who listen to Blink-182. Are you telling me he can't start a pop-punk band because he lives in Central America? Mike Ness is from Southern California, is he not allowed to have his solo career? You don't know what this dude has been influenced by.

...though saying that, I do love MxPx (even the one that looks like a baby). 29 now and they were my favourite band in my late teens, so if Mikey boy wants a penis in his mouth, I would gladly offer mine... in a 100% hetro manner of course.
