Joe Sib (22 Jacks/SideOneDummy) joins 98.7 FM for Punk Show

Joe Sib of 22 Jacks and SideOneDummy Records has joined 98.7 FM Los Angeles to launch his punk rock radio show, Complete Control Radio. The punk veteran focuses on a playlist of everything from Old School Punk like, The Ramones, The Clash and Buzzcocks, to up-and-coming bands like, Dead To Me, The Gaslight Anthem and The Riverboat Gamblers.

Sib launched the show in 2004 and the program is on the air now in seven cities including Los Angeles, Austin, Portland, San Jose, Denver, Ames Iowa and Sarasota Florida. The show can also be heard worldwide every Friday night at 10PM Eastern on punkradiocast.com.

Complete Control Radio with Joe Sib debuts on 98.7 FM on Saturday, April 18th, and will air weekly from 10PM to Midnight.

when kris roe still had hair, he said the radio sucked. then he got on the radio because he covered a song that used to be on the radio. then he lost his hair and bought a cello. now he said his band is going back to the sound they had when he had hair.

Sirius called me about renewal, I told them that they only reason to have satellite was fungus and until that existed, I wasn't interested. The lady told me she heard that a lot from the cancellations. Not sure what "a lot" was.

my parents still hae sirius/xm, or xm/serius or sex/merius or whatever. when i drive their car, the only thing i can stand listening to is the garage station.

The 98.7 here will never play that here. We'll just get Nickelback, Shinedown, Metallica, Staind, Slipknot, and Linkin Park music crammed down our throats still.

Here in LA that's exactly the crap 98.7 usually plays. I'm not suprised they're trying to swoop in on the punk rock "market" now.

I've been listening to that station since Indie closed, and have never heard any of those bands played. Foo Fighters, Nirvana, U2, Oasis, Coldplay... sure.

The cassette adapter does not work in my car and I have no radio attena. I'm lucky if I get the only FM college station in my town some days.

I know it's not the adapter because when I tried it without it and ran it on just batteries, it was still shitty. Not sure if it's because it's real dirty or just broken.

my cassette player is broken though so no music when i drive

Why are you using a cassette adapter?
You know, you can get a fm transmitter for 7 bucks and a knock-off 8gb mp3 player for another 25...

Just leave it in your car, even if it DOES get stolen it's the equalient to being robbed of 3 cd's..

cassette adapter is 7 bucks as well.
my friend got an fm transmitter but, all of the channel selections are actual stations here so, the quality was shitty.

What LA radio stations need to do is put some great talk radio back on the air. Work days are a lagging drag without FHF and tom leykis.

Dead To Me was up and coming after cuban ballerina, not so much after cancelling fest, never touring afterwards, and turning a full-length into an e.p.

I'm pissed. These guys were great and had so much potential. I'm not buying the shotty excuse of jack not being able to tour. I just saw him in philly with the utters. Ian's playing in another band as well.

What's the deal dudes? I love your band tremendously but I'm starting to lose faith, along with everyone else who thinks your band is/was great.

Get it together......for the fans.
