Media: Taking Back Sunday: "New Again," "Sink Into Me"

Taking Back Sunday is streaming new songs from New Again which is due out June 2, 2009. It is their first since Louder Now in 2006.

Holy shit this song is actually good. It sounds like Cursive. I had only ever heard a few songs of this band before and don't remember what they sounded like, but I hated them so I imagine they sounded nothing like this. I clicked on it as a joke because my friend was next to me, but... it's good. Don't tell anyone I said that. It's not great, but it sounds like an accessible indie rock song.

And this second song I just noticed was there is also just as good. I'm actually really liking this. WHAT THE FUCK. It's so weird, I sent a message to the band on Myspace expressing my confusion.

some friends of mine who got advances on this album said the ssame thing. everyone was really surprised and liked it a lot. got a lot of comparisons to samiam, who i have never listened to.
