In something of an odd pairing, auto pricing/information database Kelley Blue Book has posted a video interview with Mike Watt, in which the legendary bassist of Minutemen and fIREHOSE (and current member of The Stooges) talks about his Ford Econoline van and his experiences touring in them.

mike played the shelter last week and outside of gaslight in april, it was the best show i have worked all year. he is possibly the coolest man out of any band ever, and knows seemingly everything about everything

Mike Watt is so cool.....I met him in 2006 at Amoeba Records and he's easily one of the most intelligent and approachable guys you'll ever meet. That, and he can play bass better than anyone alive today. Come to think of it, all of the members of the old "SST bunch" that I have met have been nothing less than great people. |
